We are a non-profit organization bringing together academics, industry professionals and students in the field of life-sciences in the Oulu region.

We provide networking opportunities, increase employment of our members and aim to popularize local bioscience research.

We are a local division of the national Biobio Society. Members of the Oulun Biotieteellinen Seura are members of the Biobio Society and FEBS, IUBMB, FEMS, IUMS, IUPAB and EBSA, and eligible for their grants. Anybody can join us by applying for a membership of the Biobio Society and tagging our local branch.
